Position availability dependent upon student need. Variable work schedule.
Part-time wage position (limited to 1450 hours per twelve month time period from date of hire), with no state benefits.
Provide effective interpreting and transliterating services to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals for classes, labs, appointments, tutoring sessions, and campus activities and/or programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of deaf culture and language. Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language and using English grammar. Certification from state or national screening evaluation program required.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in related field or completion of an interpreter training program. Experience interpreting at the post-secondary level, and VQAS and National Certification are preferred.
