Join a Georgia Medical Center as the Interim Director of Med/Surg

The Position

• The Interim Director of Med/Surg will oversee a busy 44 bed unit including 80 FTEs.
• The Director will follow the patients and flow of patients through the complete hospital stay.
• Focus on driving patient experience, infection rates, and assist with improving staff vacancies.
• Ideal candidate will bring Med/Surg knowledge, while being a hands-on leader who can build a positive culture. Seven years of nursing experience with three years of progressive management experience required.
• BSN required, MSN preferred.

The Community

• Snellville's convenient Gwinnett County location, approximately 18 miles east of Atlanta and 45 miles west of Athens and at the intersection of U.S. Highway 78 and Georgia Highway 124, has allowed it to prosper. Snellville's roots extend to 19th century London.
• Several elementary, middle and high schools service Snellville’s students, including the South Gwinnett and Brookwood clusters. Snellville residents have access to many institutes of higher learning, including Georgia Gwinnett College and Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville; Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University in Atlanta; and the University of Georgia in Athens.
• Snellville residents have access to the beautiful T.W. Briscoe Park. This Snellville City Park has a 7-acre lake, walking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, athletic fields and a large outdoor pool. A variety of adult and youth programs are offered at Briscoe Park, including soccer, softball, flag-football and summer day camp. The Park hosts several special events throughout the year for the community.

• The client will also provide you with a rental car, as well as lodging that is clean, safe and in close proximity to the organization. Each is furnished and has a kitchen.
