About this opportunity

This is a highly technical role where a successful candidate will design tests based on engineering design specifications as part of the System & Maintenance Engineering organization. Develop and implement test plans and test cases in a controlled laboratory setting.

What you will do

• Working with Verizon Lab groups and personnel in test environment planning and services interoperability on the Advance Communications projects.
• Interacting with Network Implementation, Planning, and Operations to understand platform designs and provide guidance for future technology plans to ensure seamless and successful integration of Advance Communication services into the lab and production.
• Working to manage testing within a standardized environment across NSRS, VoIP and IPCC application platforms and provide mentorship to improve the overall Network.
• Providing cross-team/functional training, making infrastructure configuration decisions, and providing vendor relationship management to ensure network superiority and stability for customers.
• Developing highly detailed Methods Of Procedure (MOPs) for platform upgrades, striving to ensure that performance of network upgrades do not impact performance and minimize the risk of outages. List here key responsibilities)

You will bring

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of work experience.
• 3 or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Cloud Computing, OpenShift environment.
• Call processing testing experience with VoIP SIP, RTP, and DNS protocols.
• Experience with SBC, Enterprise gateways, IP Trunking
• Continuous testing / continuous deployment methods/ tools
• Knowledge of test artifacts tracking systems like JIRA, qTest
• Basic scripting knowledge to automate call processing events
