An Instructor is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training materials to new and existing employees throughout the court operations and official records departments, i.e. Circuit/County Civil, Circuit/County Criminal, Unified Family Court, Recording/Record Services, Tax Deeds and Branch locations. Examples of Duties

Analyzes, designs, develops, conducts, assesses and manages all aspects of one-on-one training, virtual training, on demand courses and classroom training for Courts & Official Records team members

Prepares training guides, materials, and documentation from vendor documents and meetings, observation and review sessions with department subject matter experts, Courts & Official Records departmental process flows and system testing; documents business process flows by conducting interviews and observing workflow

Conducts peer review and testing for other trainers’ written guides and online training; applies and develops advanced knowledge and skills through work on selected tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor

Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and performs work to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness; works under the guidance of senior technical trainers and management; monitors status of work in progress

Develops/chooses training scenarios, case studies, activities and gamification to supplement and assess learning

Tracks and records participant attendance and achievement; evaluates performance and progress of trainees; prepares assessments and provides feedback to management; demonstrates responsible judgment and discretion in communications and recommendations related to participant performance and/or behavior

Evaluates and recommends new training programs, resources and materials; evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs and prepares and presents recommendations for changes or upgrades to existing programs

Confirms functionality of training facilities equipment and materials to ensure proper working condition and adequate supply levels

Masters new operations software through self-directed learning and testing; analyzes and documents various business processes and quickly learns new functional areas

Participates in organizational projects and initiatives; assists supervisor and senior technical trainers with research of new learning techniques and methodologies to identify innovations that enhance learner engagement and learning experiences provided to the Operations division; prepares and presents recommendations

Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of training, adult learning, and electronic learning technologies for application to the training functions/needs of employees

Maintains a library of training resource materials, e.g., presentation, electronic media, videos, enrollment and participation records

Assists management with special projects and assignments

Proficiently performs all assignments using various technology and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Captivate, and electronic training guides

Typical Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with course work emphasis in Adult Education, Communications, Business/Public Administration, or related field, or ATD Training Certification, supplemented by three (3) years of recent, relevant and progressively responsible broad training and development experience in delivering training to individuals and groups in a formal setting. Requires knowledge of effective instruction and teaching principles and techniques with demonstrated oral and written communication skills; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, Case Maintenance and Official Records Information Systems a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Civil Court Operations.

Pay: $41,949.00 per hour
