ExecOnline is looking for a talented and driven individual to work on a contract basis as an Instructional Designer.

We partner with top business schools to provide outstanding professional development courses for executives at Global 2000 companies. We are looking for an exceptional individual with excellent design, writing and problem-solving skills, along with a healthy dose of creativity.

You will work with the Instructional Design team, transforming high-quality video content from our university partners into high impact experiences that align with ExecOnline's "Learning by Doing with Impact" methodology.

This role will be remote.

What you'll do:

You'll leverage your creativity to help us develop compelling and effective learning experiences for our new Applied Experience Platform offering. These 1-week, asynchronous experiences feature lecture content provided or previously created by our university partners. You'll design the program structure, then conceptualize and develop a broad range of learning activities including, e.g., project assignments, example deliverables, scripts for interactive activities, and team messaging prompts for community building and peer information exchanges.

To execute your work, you will:

• Evaluate and select partner-supplied lecture video for relevance and impact.
• Create design documentation that outlines the program flow, assignments and prescribed activities.
• Develop program materials, such as assignment instructions and templates and performance support.
• Conceptualize and design interactive activities; work with media developers to produce activities.
• Author programs in our proprietary LMS.

We are a deeply collaborative team who help each other with the peaks and valleys of our work. You may support the broader team through, e.g.,:

• Helping coordinate some of our activities and ensure we remain on track
• Reviewing others' deliverables and providing editorial suggestions
• Making updates to learning activities on our proprietary learning platform
• Exploring participant feedback and suggesting improvements to existing programs
• Supporting market research or marketing development efforts

• You are organized about your work and understand what deadlines mean.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment that allows you to take initiative with your own work while collaborating with a team dedicated to developing great solutions.
• You have 3-5 years' of instructional design experience.
• You have a masters or doctoral degree in a relevant field (strongly preferred)
• Additional business experience (e.g. management consulting, human resources) or MBA a plus.

The ability to work 20-30 hrs/wk in an ongoing capacity. At ExecOnline, we are committed to fair, equitable, and competitive compensation practices. The hourly range for this role is $60-$70. During the interview process, total compensation will be determined in alignment with market data, team equity, and the experience & capabilities of each candidate.
