Remote Position. Preferred residence in North Eastern US
Primary Function:

This position will act as primary sales and customer service contact in addition to supporting our sales and marketing efforts for our North American headquarters.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing Engineering specifications from Customers/Engineers to recommend proper pump selection for proposal preparation
  • Pump model selection, sizing and application
  • Provide technical and product application support to customers and outside Regional Sales Managers
  • Qualify vendors and source ancillary equipment necessary for project proposals
  • Assist in Trade Show preparation, sales visits, and customer and representative meetings.
  • Interface with ABEL Management, Engineering and Factory personnel to ensure smooth order processing
  • Assist in optimizing ABEL’s presence in web-based systems such as customer procurement systems, eNewsletter development and website visibility.
  • Actively manage input to ABEL’s CRM system, including logging proposals, calls, as well as adding contacts.
  • Proactively contact customers to identify that needs are being met and solicit feedback on performance.
  • Participate in sales initiatives and programs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or other relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service or sales in a technical area of a company, preferably in Marketing, Sales or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Able to maintain accurate records.
  • Must be customer focused and know about internal and external customer relationships.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus.
  • Experience with CRM a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
