Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, 17 Inpatient bed unit with 8 state of the art surgical suites. We have been serving the Kansas City area for over 20 years. Our hospital offers our staff work life balance, a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio, and 99.9% of the time you leave on time!

We are seeking an Inpatient RN who, has inpatient med surg, ideally a background in orthopedics, but not necessary. Someone who is looking for consistency, work life balance, and a dynamic working environment. Our Inpatient RN’s work 12 hour shifts, either 2 or 3 days a week depending on full or part time status. RN’s in this role work autonomously alongside an all RN staff and all orthopedic study.

Job Function: Provide quality nursing care to post-op orthopedic patients. This includes total patient care, dispensing of medications, preparing of patient meals, patient and family education, cleaning unit and patient rooms as necessary, and electronically documenting. Collaborating with physicians and physical therapists to ensure patient is performing at their highest level and progressing toward goal.

Requirements:

Experience: 1-5years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Licensing/Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kansas. BLS required. ACLS preferred.
