WholeHealth Chicago is seeking a Full-Time Infusion Nurse to support our flagship practice located in Lincoln Park. The Infusion Nurse provides patient care to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other services as directed by the provider team.

The Infusion Nurse will be sympathetic to patient's with differing needs and stages of health. A passion for education is critical in the role as the Infusion Nurse communicates directly with patients who may have a lot of questions.

Responsibilities:

- Promote, deliver, and periodically schedule intravenous vitamin therapies to support patient's as they begin or maintain their health journey.

- Assess patient appropriateness for infusion therapy, administer IV vitamin infusions and work with specific protocols

- Consult and coordinate with medical provider on standing orders to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient IV or injection therapy plans as needed

- Verify the correct forms are complete and review health history forms

- Prepare IV and IM vitamins for administration with appropriate technique

- Performs venipuncture, placement of peripheral IV's, possible accesses implanted ports

- Assess and monitor a patient's health, detect changes in symptoms, or pain, and know when action is necessary.

- Coordinate and plan the administration of multiple IV’s and injections

- Document therapy details in patient's chart accurately and in timely fashion.

- Maintain supply inventory by anticipating needed supplies and working with Medical Assistant Lead to place timely orders for supplies;

- Clean and maintain infusion room

Education:

- Registered Nurse

Experience:

- Must possess VERY strong IV peripheral skills

- Experience accessing Ports and PICC lines a plus

- Minimum of 1 year current nursing experience; infusion therapy, including patient assessment skills, venous access skills

License/ Certification:

- Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse

- BSL certification (would be a plus)

Pay: $29.00 - $45.00 per hour
