As a member of Novolex’s IT Infrastructure Services organization, The Network Engineer is focused role requiring switching, routing, wireless, and firewall skills. The role will serve as technical member for the network group and responsible for providing ownership in the implementation, qualification, security, support and operation of LAN and WAN solutions. The role will require a high level of technical experience with platforms including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and others. Excellent communication and written skills and a strong willingness to learn is required. This is a focused role but will also leverage knowledge with other infrastructure services such as server OS, voice services, servers, and storage systems, along with preferred working knowledge with cloud infrastructure technologies.

• Install, configure, upgrade and administer Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, and other networking devices.
• Consistent improvement of network services and monitoring.
• Collaborate with lead Network resource on design and planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing root cause analysis and closing problem tickets promptly.
• Report system-wide issues to management as necessary.
• Provide problem solving leadership based on experience with technology.
• Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed.
• Establish/recommend policies on system use and services.
• Support IT goals and objectives including measures and projects.
• Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process.
• Lower costs and to co-develop capabilities with systems for the purposes of reducing costs, improving processes, and innovating services.
• Participates in annual budget process. Uses forecasting exercises to project budget needs.

• Minimum 8 years of Networking experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HPand other vendors.
• Minimum of a CCNA, CCNP preferred.
• NSE certifications preferred
• Juniper training and certifications preferred
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure services like Azure/ AWS
• Experience with Ekahau preferred
• Experience working with IT vendors and / or Managed Service Providers, preferably in large, complex, outcome-based models.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, multi-task, and drive simultaneous projects to timely completion.
