Job Description:
Parsons Federal Intelligence seeks to hire Information Systems Security Officers to provide comprehensive information system security support to an Intel Community customer. The ISSOs will be responsible for advising and assisting with secure configuration management and operations of the customer’s IT assets. ISSOs must have a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
Required Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent such as Associate's and 12 yrs or Master's degree and 5 yrs
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of security violation mitigation measures and incident reporting actions.
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of host/network access control mechanisms (e.g., access control list).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.
- Knowledge of system life cycle management principles, including software security and usability.
- Knowledge of incident response handling methodologies.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies
- Knowledge of information security program management and project management principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with network and information systems security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions
- Familiarity with applicable IC, DoD policies, procedures and operating instructions related to information technology, information assurance, information management (IT/IA/IAM)
- Familiarity with controlling, labeling, virus scanning and appropriately transferring data (uploading/downloading) between different classification domains
- Familiarity with new technologies or technological upgrades and the implications they may have on Information Systems security programs
- Familiarity with conducting research and analysis
