For over 40 years, LinQuest has been a leader in space systems technology solutions for U.S. defense and intelligence communities. We are seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our growing team in the Washington DC area!
The ISSO shall have the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an information system and, in many organizations, is assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of a system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness.
- Monitoring the information system(s) and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the authorization documentation, implementing configuration management across authorization boundaries.
- Assess the security impact of changes and make recommendation to the ISSM.
- The primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts.
- The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience working in IT, Audit, or Cyber field (including SOC, threat/vulnerability, etc.), with 5 years specifically in a Cyber position (ISSO, ISSE, ISSM); DoD 8140/8570 IAM Level II certification
- Certification or experience in common cyber tools such as SEIM, audit reporting, vulnerability detection, patching/management, and GRC/RMF evaluation/storage tools (Archer, Xacta, EMASS, etc.)
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience working as system or network administrator or similar IT field (configuration/change management, database management, webpage or software development, etc.)
- DoD 8140/8570 IAM Level III certification
- Certifications or experience with scripting languages and/or programming languages, integrity or configuration management tools
- Change management process experience
- Experience working in IC or SAP community
- Experience working in DoD, including uniformed service.
- Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level II or Information Assurance Manager II within 6 months of the date of hire.

- HS or Bachelors degree

- Active TS/SCI (Cl polygraph highly desired)
