Job Summary:

• Maintaining a system for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases for all residents, staff, volunteers, visitors and other individuals providing services under a contractual arrangement based upon the facility assessment.
• During a pandemic event, monitors and manages the surveillance testing program,included but not limited to baseline testing of residents and staff, ongoing surveillance if one resident and or staff member has a positive result, and monitoring the county and regions for community- based spread of infection specific to state or federal criteria for testing of staff and residents.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current registration with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control.
