An exciting opportunity is now available for an Infection Prevention Nurse Practitioner at one of Northern Oregon’s most respected medical centers

The Infection Prevention Nurse Practitioner will join a medical center that is respected for high levels of patient care and close ties to the surrounding community. This community hospital is accredited by the Joint Commision and offers comprehensive medical services including inpatient and outpatient care, medical and surgical services, and diagnostic and emergency care.

Reporting to the Nurse Director of Quality, the Infection Prevention Nurse Practitioner will support infection control surveillance and coordinate reporting to appropriate county, state, and federal agencies. The ideal candidate has acute care infection prevention experience and is CIC-certified.

The Infection Prevention Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with teams throughout the hospital, and individuals to help create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention plans. This position will perform surveillance and data collection/analysis of the organization's infection-prevention program. They will provide their findings then help educate, direct, and coordinate current infection prevention practices to providers, clinic, and hospital Staff. This person will assist with the development of policies and procedures to ensure rigorous Infection Prevention standards that meet DNV, OSHA, Public Health Department and CDC Standards.
