Job description

Role: The assistant teacher will assist Lead Teachers in meeting the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of a group of young children by implementing planned curriculum including arts, music, story time, pre-math & language activities and illustrating safe and sanitary meal service.

Qualifications:

* have a high school diploma or equivalent.

* must have and/or willing to obtain a current Infant/CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.

* must be able to pass a state and federal background check and fingerprints

Personal / Physical requirements:

§ Is punctual; beginnings work on time!

§ Enjoys working with children and demonstrates a positive and happy attitude.

§ Is alert, observant, active and able to use judgment and initiative.

§ Is willing to accept responsibility and work cooperatively with others.

§ Is able to exercise problem-solving skills with both adults and children.

§ Is able to lift children up to 40 lbs (children and equipment)

§ Is able to sit, kneel, stand frequently and as needed to care for children in the classroom
