Industrial Maintenance Technician

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of skilled duties in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery used in the plant. Knows all preventative maintenance procedures and policies and basic operational procedures. Can sort through work orders and determine priority levels based on experience. Basic duties are: Rebuild motors and gearboxes, troubleshoot control systems, weld/fabricate, knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Must have a basic knowledge of running equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure the ongoing function of high tech equipment, by conducting preventative maintenance and diagnostic on equipment in need of repair.
• Record repair and machine maintenance information into CMMS.
• Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• Effective problem solving and organizational skills and strong prioritization abilities.
• Basic knowledge of computer software, including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Ability to be on call, work days or nights, weekends and overtime if needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education: Experience and Education desirable/preferred

Computer Skills: No prior experience necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
