Position Description

Overall Responsibilities:

The IFS Application and Database Administrator is responsible for managing the IFS environment including support of the application, database, and utility servers. This role is required to perform database backups, copies, and restores and monitors database performance and utilization, and all other database related tasks for the IFS Oracle system.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create and maintain IFS Role Security and IFS Users
• Create and maintain IFS logic for Print Agent and extended server functionality
• Create and maintain Ad Hoc reporting access
• Monitor IFS processing of background jobs, configuration of batch queues
• Copy databases during the implementation and support cycle
• Make structural recommendations and changes
• Create Import/Export Areas
• Data migration tasks: copy databases for migration stages and create backups; modify database storage for legacy data; reserve storage space for temporary data files
• Enforce change controls standards on IFS system
• Work with development team on customizations, reports, and integrations
• Other system configuration changes

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience administering ERP system, preference to IFS
• Experience administering a Database environment, preference to Oracle
• Experience working in Agile environment preferred
• Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel capabilities
• Experience supporting a manufacturing organization preferred
• Experience in Building Products Industry a plus

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
