A Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for working on residential and light commercial, including heating systems, ventilation, and air conditioning units. HVAC technician follow and analyze the item's schematics and blueprints and conduct regular maintenance to ensure the efficiency of its systems. They also advise the clients of instruction manuals, especially the proper usage and basic troubleshooting of defects. An HVAC technician must have excellent knowledge of the mechanical industry, as well as excellent communication skills to respond to customers' concerns and resolve complaints.

Responsibilities Overview

  • Pump down and re-cover all refrigerant within EPA regulations.
  • Install, maintain & repair heating & ac units.
  • Assist journeymen with water/air cool chillers and help maintain cooling tower pumps and motors.
  • Assist journeymen and foremen by any means necessary while acquiring knowledge of the trade.
  • Install evaporators, condenser units, and also run refrigeration line sets for buildings.
  • Connect pvc fittings for proper draining, and black pipe for gas and flu pipe.
  • Insure installations are completed according to plans, per local codes, and to OSHA standards.
  • Install furnaces and ductwork, some plumbing and electrical and ac units and install blown in insulation
  • Install and service HVAC units including but not limit to adding freon and maintaining heating and a.c units
  • Install, operate, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems, combustion equipment, and industrial air compressors.
  • Maintain and repair rooftop units, VAV systems, air handlers, various ac systems building automation systems.
  • Maintain the HVAC and building automation systems by regularly performing troubleshooting on the equipment and resolving any problems
  • Order any supplies and equipment need for HVAC maintenance and installation while ensuring availability of all necessary items for project completion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
