MBS Solutions has the immediate need of an experienced HVAC Service Technician on 1st Shift in York, PA.
JOB TITLE - HVAC Service Technician

INDUSTRY - HVAC/R, Plumbing, and Construction Services

PAY RATE - $20-30/hr BOE

LOCATION-

York, PA 17404

SHIFT:

1 st Shift: 7AM-3:30PM | Monday-Friday

**Hours can vary dependent upon projects and customer requests**

OVERTIME: Yes, company has on-call rotation once every 6 weeks that they must be available for. They will also require work on Saturdays as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ideal candidate in the HVAC Service Technician role will have 4+ years prior work experience in residential and/or commercial construction jobs, completed HVAC Certification is a plus, and a valid driver's license is a must. Ability to lift and the ability to use a hand-held computer to document daily work performed required.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES-

Residential & Commercial HVAC Service Technician:

• Service, repair, and installation of all facets of HVAC found within a residential and light commercial building
• Proficient in the use of all power, hand, etc. tools related to the HVAC trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Will be able to service customers by analyzing work, listening to client concerns, and completing work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• As the expert, ability to clearly explain what needs to be done and why, if needed providing step-by-step instructions and or answering customers' questions while remaining professional and courteous.
• Maintaining air and water treatments in HVAC systems
• Performing preventive maintenance as needed
• Ability to prioritize and manage workflow; Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to navigate computerized components of the equipment from installing, maintaining, or repairing.
• Required to have computer technical skills to use software systems to keep track of clients and employees, documentation of daily work performed, etc.
• Knowledge and working use of following and implementing safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints, instructions, manuals, prints for parts or repairs of HVAC Systems, plans, equipment, and safety procedures as required.
• Ability and openness to be a part of an on-call rotation between all technicians.
  

OVERALL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must have clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
• Must have 4-5+ years of service technician experience in HVAC work, and or technical schooling/ apprenticeship with 1-2+ years of experience.
• Candidates must have excellent customer service skills as they will be entering and conducting business within customer's homes and businesses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Service Technicians will receive company vehicle upon reporting to the shop each day before going out to worksites.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
• Requires the ability be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs., as required.
• Requires the ability to stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, and kneel, and bend or twist the body.
• Requires the ability to stand and or move around while on worksites and for the majority of shift.
• Requires the use of arms and hands to reach, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls and fingers to grasp, move, or assemble small to very small objects.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech and hearing.
• Requires the ability to and use of vision to adjust focus, detect different colors, depths, distances, shapes, and sizing.
