Responsibilities:
- Facilitate with new hire orientation and training classes
- Assist with benefit open enrollment and administration
- Process unemployment claims through DEO
- Assist with designing creative and fun all-associate meetings and events
- Answer the HR telephone line and greet all individuals arriving at the HR office. Respond appropriately to all requests.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting positions, prescreening candidates, scheduling interviews, receiving resumes, managing the completion and filing of applications, and maintaining the applicant flow
- Run pre-employment background screening reports and ensure all new hire paperwork is accurately completed
- Process all new hires, ensuring completion of all required paperwork: including I-9 documentation, tax-forms, etc.
- Input new hire information into HRIS and manage upkeep of electronic/hard copy files; maintain an accurate I-9 filing system, ensuring that there is a current I-9 for all associates
- Fulfill a variety of associate needs including but not limited to: provision of name tags, direct deposit forms, benefits forms, employment verification letters, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of all benefit programs, including Health and Dental Insurance, and other Ancillary Benefits Programs.
- Maintain accurate files of all associate Accident Reports, and ensure completion of OSHA Log 300. File Worker’s Compensation claims with insurance carrier where necessary, and coordinate property and carrier needs for effective claims management.
- Assist Human Resources Director with all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong computer experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and ability to utilize HR software to include UKG and background screening providers
- Demonstrated confident written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Positive demeanor and outlook
- Highly confidential and projects a high level of integrity
- Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgement, and start work without direction
- Resilient and persistent in a fast paced, changing environment
- Coachable and a team-player mentality
Experience:
- Entry-level position. College degree preferred. Must have at least two (2) to three (3) years of related Human Resources experience. Experience in hospitality preferred.
