Human Resources is an emerging and rapidly growing function at DLR Group. Over the last 2 years our team size has grown from 3 team members to 13! In the last year alone, the team has overhauled our benefits & wellness offerings, implemented a learning and development program and platform, streamlined recruiting practices and are currently in the middle of a performance management re-vamp. As a member of this fast growing team, there will be many opportunities to take on new challenges and initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to help us mature our function. This individual will lead activities for their area of responsibility associated with the performance management process (e. g. goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, development planning) to ensure utilization of tools by management achieves business results. The HR Generalist will provide coaching to business leaders on employee relations issues, interpret human resources policies, counsel employees concerning work related problems and conduct exit interviews. In addition to the core responsibilities, we are seeking a team member who can serve as a consultative partner to our leaders as they learn what it means to work with our growing HR team.
The successful candidate will:
Provide primary support on relations issues, conduct stay and exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action and improvements
Provide guidance on policy interpretation and communicate updates
Assist leaders with record keeping and documentation on employee relations issues and corrective action steps
Advises leaders on appropriate starting salaries, promotional increases, etc.
Drive consistent onboarding practices within key disciplines/regions
May assist with annual comp review process, FLSA and other compliance audits
Partner with HR team members to build processes and procedures
Monitor and support initiatives that support firm culture
Support leaders on retention and engagement efforts
Suggest opportunities for employee/company interaction involving awards, recognition programs, celebrations, special events, employee surveys and social functions.
Day-to-day support for assigned regions
Other duties/projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
3-5 years’ of progressive HR experience
Strong communication skills with ability to influence and build credibility at all levels
Continuous improvement mindset; seeking ways to drive innovation and efficiencies throughout the firm
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of employment laws and practices
Demonstrated experience maintaining confidential employment information
Some travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the architecture, engineering, or design industry
Experience supporting a national, multi-location firm.
