We’re looking for relationally driven individuals who are able to carry the Vermeer culture forward through influence and impact for our team members. The HR/EHS Technician assists with projects from inception to completion by supporting and implementing principles that support manufacturing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

2. Help plan events, outreach, talent acquisition, and team member engagement activities

3. Coordinate various Company/department programs, schedules, and possibly serve as the main contact for some programs.

3. Assist with safety programs to reduce risk to employees, contractors, and the environment, by conducting audits, investigations and inspections

4. Monitor EHS performance by testing and sampling to compliance and producing reports to meet legislative requirements.

5. Conduct new/transferred team member training

6. Provide additional support to the HR and EHS departments,


Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum 1 year of job experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn company-specific operating systems.
  • Strong desire to support a larger team, is people-focused, and strives to go above and beyond every day.
  • Demonstration of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure quality work and products in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective management of time and resources.
  • Knowledge in the area(s) of Company policies, procedures, and products.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task various projects within the department.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects.
  • Excel at daily communication with dealership(s) personnel.

Travel

Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.
