The Opportunity
The HR Business Partner works with leadership and employees to provide support delivering value added consultancy services according to the University’s goals and core values.
You'll Get To:
- Build trusted relationships through partnerships with assigned departments to provide leadership and their employees with employee relation’s support including coaching, counseling, conflict resolution to ensure the fair application of university policies.
- As a partner and consultant, the HR Business Partner helps to identify solutions to our challenges while promoting the development of continuous improvements to HR processes.
- Conduct objective investigations and provide appropriate management recommendations.
- Partner with Executive and Operational Leaders on people-related strategies, and deliver people plans that improve the effectiveness and help achieve our goals.
- Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, hiring decisions, and position reviews; ensure that processes are applied.
- Research, answer, and follow-up on daily inquiries from employees and managers on policies, procedures and HR processes, including working collaboratively with our HR shared services teams.
- Identify needs and facilitate several training programs.
- Report on a variety of HR related data points, while recognizing, reporting, and communicating the story contained within the data.
- Other responsibilities as assigned. Job responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice.
What we're Looking For:
- HSD/GED and 4 years’ of related HR experience
- Professional Certification(s): SHRM-CP/PHR required
- Have an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to daily management of employees, reducing risk and ensuring compliance.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Must demonstrate integrity, sincerity and transparency.
- Must demonstrate the University values and lead by example
