The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) offers specialized programs and supports throughout the State of New Jersey for infants, children and adults with developmental and related disabilities. With a dedicated staff of more than 500 employees, in 41 program sites throughout the state, NJID is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. Each year, more than 1500 infants, children and adults with disabilities and their families are helped by NJID's unique continuum of services.

NJID has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant to join their Human Resources department located in Edison, NJ. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

As a Human Resources Assistant with NJID, you will provide a wide range of support, including:

  • Assist with resume sourcing using ATS and seek out passive candidates under the direction of the HR Manager
  • Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews for the Recruiter and HR Manager
  • Enter data into ATS ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Conduct reference checks, as well as credential & license verification
  • Assist with employee on-boarding & enter new hire data into Paycom
  • Enter employee data into Paycom such as trainings & documents
  • Pull reports & manage performance evaluations process
  • Assist with Workers' compensation claims reporting
  • Process verifications of employment
  • Assist with audit compliance
Job Requirements:
  • Associate's degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Human Resources
Position Details:
Location: Edison County: Middlesex

Hours Per Work Week: 35 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon – Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
