Fondomonte California is currently recruiting for an HR/Administrative Assistant to join our Calipatria Team! Fondomonte is a vertically integrated farming operation that includes growing, harvesting and exporting of forage products.
This position will have shared Human Resources and Administrative task who will be responsible for new hire onboarding, communicating company polices and procedures, maintaining personnel records, processing payroll, directing communications between colleagues and customers, organizing schedules and events, entering data, and maintaining office equipment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Process human resources and payroll forms
  • Enter information into human resources/payroll systems
  • Maintain personnel files and record keeping
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to employees.
  • Process payroll through Paychex, track and process all staff hours
  • Ensures all onboarding processes are completed on a timely basis for newly hired employees to begin employment.
  • Collaborates with hiring manager and corporate HR team to ensure onboarding events are completed on time. Ensures a positive experience for the newly hired employee.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Answer and direct phone calls when needed
  • Perform general office support; file appropriate documentation and maintain files
  • Assist supervisors and department managers with employee relation issues
  • Process workman's comp claims, maintain required safety and health records and assist incident investigations
  • Supports managers through a variety of tasks related to organization and communications
  • Collect and distribute mail
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements/Skills:

  • Bi-lingual Spanish and English is required
  • Highly motivated; capable of independently managing multiple tasks/projects in a professional, efficient manner
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft
  • Human Resources experience preferred
  • Administrative experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
  • Great listening, communication, and verbal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working under pressure
  • Display positive and professional attitude toward peers and leadership team
  • Time management and ability to prioritize task given
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Schedule
Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
May include every other Saturday as needed
(Schedule can vary depending upon operational need)
Pay
$19.50 - $21.25 per Hour DOQ
