Campbell Transportation Company, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner with strong Compensation and Benefits experience. The ideal candidate would be a strategic thinker, with HR experience in employee relations, compensation, benefit administration, policy/procedure development and implementation, performance evaluations, recruitment, state and federal compliances and other areas required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective strategic business partnerships with management and employees to provide advice, and guidance to both on employee-related and organizational effectiveness matters.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Lead review process and manage benefit plan administration including compliance reporting.
  • Institute and manage performance management system designed to sustain employee skills, performance, career development, and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Institute strong employee relations, coach supervisors and support company initiatives through effective policy development and implementation, investigate and respond to employee relations issues and propose appropriate action.
  • Monitor metrics to track the effectiveness of employee relations practices on turnover, retention, supervisory feedback information, and employee morale surveys.
  • Establish an effective communications platform that will foster understanding and alignment across the workforce of the business objectives and the achievement of required results.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

Minimum Educational and Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required; PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Five to Seven years HR Generalist experience required
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to fair employment practices
  • High level of competence with operating and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, LMS and HRIS information technology.
  • Well-developed leadership, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail with consistent follow-through; proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Minimal Travel to other facilities as required.
  • Preferred Educational and Job Qualifications:
  • Compensation and/or Benefits Certifications
  • Experience within a transportation or logistics environment.
  • Experience with data management, implementation, and overall compliance management.
  • Experience with ADP HRIS System
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience working with multiple state locations

Physical Capabilities:

  • This position will work in an office environment setting.
  • Ability to use general office equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
