Job Summary/Purpose
The HRP Program Manager provides strategic and tactical HR leadership to drive the evolution of Entergy HR. This role serves as a program execution leader to engage and influence the HR community and key business/corporate leaders with the goal of achieving the Entergy (HR) evolution enablement outcomes and measurable results.
This role plays a primary role in development, execution and oversight of the Drug & Alcohol Program for Power Generation, as well as other HR programs and projects aligned to the HR strategy while championing a culture of customer-centricity, continuous improvement and diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

Leads the identification, development, and implementation of strategic HR process improvements that significantly reduce workloads, improve the employee experience, or improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness across the team, business unit, and/or the organization. Project may include:
- Entergy’s enterprise Drug & Alcohol Program
- HR Process Streamlining and Standardization
- HR Change Management
- HR Budget Management Process
- HR Business Continuity
- HR Dashboards & Analytics (in conjunction with the People Reporting team in HRO)
- OHI Survey Administration
- Workforce Planning System
- OFCCP, AAP Compliance
- HR Enterprise Risk Management & Audit Process
- HR Workflow Management
- Owns implementation of complex enterprise scale programs with considerable risk. Develops plans, specifies scope, manages issues, identifies/mitigates risks, manages interdependencies, and leads the development of program/project implementation plans. Projects beyond the Drug & Alcohol Program may include the HR Safety Program
- Assist the Sr Mgr, HR Program Management (Drug & Alcohol Program) to build organizational capability within the HRP Drug & Alcohol Program team, and ensures top talent is hired and retained.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends in HR, assesses the opportunity/impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies. Stays abreast of regulatory trends and issues and uses this knowledge to strengthen programs and proactively mitigate risk to the enterprise.
- Collaborates with the other Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and HR Operations to support and facilitate the timing and execution of HR activities in the field.
- Hires, interfaces with, and provides oversight to external consultants and vendors on assigned projects and initiatives. Partners with vendors to achieve cost efficiencies and improve business results. Leads HR vendor reviews on a regular basis to ensure optimal service received. Manages and provide oversight to HR contracts.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Masters Degree is a plus.

5+ years in HR or related experience with or without a degree.
2+ years leading teams, or leading programs and initiatives where the employee can demonstrate the ability to effectively influence others.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
- Experience in multiple HR fields and experience in other business units and in client facing HR roles preferred.
- Highly skilled at dealing with ambiguity. Able to take “mushy” highly uncertain situations and develop actionable plans to accomplish desired outcomes.
- Able to see opportunities and solutions to challenges that elude others.
- External vendor management skills including request for information, request for quotes and requests for proposals resulting in HR agreements that are executed per the requirements.
- Comfortable and highly effective at clear, concise written and verbal communications with internal and external audiences.
- Develops and maintains relationships of trust with external regulators and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in complex program management roles with the ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize disparate input/data, establish priorities, and lead the execution on time and on budget.
- Excellent communication skills including written communication, executive presentations, and stand-up speaking skills; comfortable presenting to and facilitating work with all key stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively lead and work across cross functional teams and across geographies with the proven ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization with diverse personalities and skill levels. Strong relationship building and collaboration skills are also required.
- Understanding of HR processes, data, and compliance requirements with a track record of successful leadership.
