The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a liaison between the business and human resources with minimal supervision. This role provides consultative guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on human resources related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives.
Job Requirements
- Deliver HR programs to the business including new hire orientation, training, and organizational development interventions.
- Manage lower-level Employee Relations related issues, referring more complex issues (e.g., those involving managers or above) to the Senior HRBP.
- Conduct exit interviews and submit Personnel Action Forms
- Prepare training and presentation materials
- Partner with HR leadership to recommend, research, develop and implement new approaches, programs, policies, tools, and procedures to promote employee engagement and retention.
- Support and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Assist with Talent Acquisition as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors' Degree Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required.
- A minimum of six years prior and progressive HR experience, particularly proven experience supporting and influencing business stakeholders required.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
- Working knowledge and progressive experience in key HR functional areas, including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, talent management, communication, employment law, and training and development.
- Collaborative team player with hands-on work style, strong customer-service orientation, and the ability to build strong and supportive partnerships.
- Solution-focused with high initiative and personal drive.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to manage projects that require strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and analyze a situation by identifying patterns or connections, and addressing key underlying issues.
- Proven ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities under tight deadlines, maintaining timelines, ensuring follow up, and producing high quality results.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations and deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong ability to create and deliver presentations to all levels within the organization.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Proficient knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems; advanced Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel as dictated by business needs (estimated 5-10%).
