Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing the Permanent Supportive Housing program of the NFI North Adult Residential Programs. This position must work collaboratively with designated Mental Health Authority, staff, agencies and service providers to develop and provide stable, affordable housing through short term and long term subsidies such as Section 8 vouchers or other types of permanent housing. The Housing Specialist aids adults with serious and persistent mental illness. On-call emergencies are part of the responsibilities. Must be able to work with a team of providers internally and externally and be able to write reports on progress and results of placement of the participants. May be asked to attend Treatment Team meetings.

Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the field of social services and one year experience is required. Experience working with the participant population a must. This role will require a significant amount of vehicle travel for which mileage reimbursement will be provided. Salary starts at $50,000.
