Housekeeping is what gives hotels the ‘wow’ factor. To deliver a great guest experience housekeepers perform routine duties in cleaning, servicing and examining of guest rooms and baths to ensure Holiday Inn Warren Express standards of cleanliness are being exceeded.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.

• Wear safety protection equipment as provided in line with department

regulations and any local legislative requirements

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards

and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and

sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash/rubbish, etc. May include cleaning of

kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc

• Replenish amenities according to the operational hotel standard

• Checks and secures the rooms to ensuring privacy of guests

• Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets,

spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required

• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of his work area.

• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all

areas of housekeeping

• Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area.

• Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area

assigned to him to achieve guest satisfaction

• Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.

• Hang draperies and dust window blinds.

• Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.

• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors on duty.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various

cleaning equipment.

• Ability to push and/or pull heavy equipment.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to work well with other team members.

• Must wear required uniforms
