Job Purpose:

  • The Room Attendants works within guidelines as set forth by corporate policy. Ensures high guest service scores, trip advisor ranking, and guest recovery. Maintains liaison with Facilities Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, Maintenance, Sales Coordinator, and Guest Services to achieve the company?s objectives.
  • Cleans guest rooms, hallways, and other assigned areas, maintaining established quality standards.
  • This position requires assisting guests efficiently and courteously in all areas and/or other assigned department-related functions while projecting high standards of service and professionalism at all times. Nurture a hotel environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and a passion for providing service. Be readily available and approachable to all team members.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Received room assignments, keys, and Housekeeper?s Daily Worksheet from Supervisor
  • Obtains housekeeping cart from the storage room and verifies that cart is properly stocked
  • Cleans assigned rooms in accordance with standard operating procedure, performing duties such as dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, restocking paper, and soap supplies, etc.
  • Completes Housekeeper?s Daily Worksheet, recording completed rooms and special comments, such as needed maintenance repairs
  • Vacuums hallways in assigned section of rooms
  • Collects soiled linens and delivers to the laundry room
  • Completes most of the assigned room checks prior to 3:00 p.m.; exceptions will apply. Reports any discrepancies to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Restocks housekeeping cart and returns cart to the storage room
  • May assist laundry attendant or other housekeepers as directed
  • Deep cleans guest rooms according to a standard operating procedure as assigned
  • Returns keys and the Housekeeper?s Daily Worksheet to Supervisor and obtains approval to clock-out
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
  • Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintains a room time for stayovers of 15 minutes and checkouts of 30 minutes per occupied room
  • Reports in uniform which is cleaned and pressed
  • Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings
