Housekeeper - Recovery | Fair Oaks Recovery Center | Sacramento, California
Job Summary:

The housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning of the facility, showing pride and taking initiative to maintain a standard of excellence in appearance, sanitation and comfort of clients, guests and staff. This position is responsible for evening and/or weekend shifts.
Job Duties:

QUALIFICATIONS

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required with one (1) year experience in housekeeping services. Candidates must have a good understanding of equipment utilized in cleaning a healthcare facility.

Salary and Hours

$17.00 per hour. Non-Exempt, Part-Time 16-24 hours per week. Weekend Shifts. Possible Thursday - Saturday or Friday - Sunday.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Conduct daily cleaning of the facility including, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing of fixtures, general straightening, and cleaning of bathrooms.

• Conduct daily check of cleaning cart to determine inventory of supplies.

• Conduct daily check of linen supply closet to determine inventory of supplies.

• Maintain log of supplies needed and request purchase of supplies when indicated.

• Prepare room(s) for incoming admissions.

• Make beds and prepare new linens as required.

• Set-up/break-down of in-services/meetings as indicated by schedule.

• Communicate with Director of Environmental Services on a daily basis.

• Communicate with staff daily to ensure proper care for special needs of clients.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Accept responsibility for professional growth and development of self.

• Adhere to facility, departmental, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.

• Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled. Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.

• Support facility wide performance improvement goals and objectives.

• Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and clients.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Direct and indirect client contact as deemed appropriate.

• Work in office environment and be able to tolerate gradient levels of standing, walking, stooping and lifting up to 30 pounds.

• Tolerate stressful situations and various conditions unpleasant to the sense of sight, touch, and smell.

• Ability to adjust to increased workload.
