House keeper

Job description: Part time

General hours of work may be between: 6:30am – 10pm. Hours and days vary. We are open seven day a week. May be flexible to suite.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Follow a basic cleaning schedule

· Wash/launder towels, sheets, bedding, draperies etc.

· Ironing sheets, linens, fabrics etc

· Vacuum, dust, wash, scrub, and sanitize surfaces throughout the building

· Clean daily rooms occupied by guests

· Clean up debris in and around the property

· Mix cleaning solutions from raw materials

· Perform housekeeping duties and tasks as needed by guests

· Care for and maintain plants both in and out of doors

· Keep track of cleaning supplies, stocking and making requests when supplies are low

· Wash, organize, and store utensils, dishes, and food preparation items

· Polish, silver, plated items, copper, brass, glass and others food service items

· Restock/check supplies in guest areas and/or storage areas

· Set tables with linens, china, and flatware etc.

· Read, write, and communicate in English with correct grammar

· Respect, maintain, and steward the building, property, and its contents

Additional -

· Greet and service customers in a polite, respectful, and friendly manner; opening and closing doors, locking and unlocking doors, and carrying luggage etc.

· Check out/check in guests

· Maintain knowledge of guests coming and goings; check in and check out dates

· Serve afternoon beverages and snacks when required by guests

· Prepare food both raw and cooked; using knives, mixers, bowls, various kitchen appliances and tools

· Brew coffees, teas, and create other beverages

· Assure proper food and beverage storage

· Compost food waste

· Rearrange furniture according to customer /party needs

· Assist customers with concierge services and local advice

· Monitor and secure separate staff and guest areas

· Follow directions of immediate supervisors

· Perform other tasks as requested by customers

Skills, useful knowledge, and personality traits:

o Extreme attention to detail

o Read, speak, and communicate properly in the English language

o Knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques and skills

o Knowledge of natural cleaning solutions

o Knowledge of nutrition, calories, and health benefits of food

o Must be able to move aptly up and down stairs

o Must be able to carry 50 pounds up and down stairs

o Baking skills

o Cooking skills

o Artistic, fun, and creative

o Bartending/mixology skills a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.20 - $20.00 per hour
