Veterinary Specialty Services is a 24-hour specialty and emergency veterinary hospital committed to providing excellent, advanced care. We have provided advanced specialized care for animals, collaborating with veterinarians throughout the St. Louis area, and beyond for over 25 years. We are looking for a full-time housekeeper for our Manchester Facility to work overnights from 10pm to 6am. Weekend availability is required. Overnight employees are eligible for a shift differential of $5.00 per hour as well as an additional $2.00 per hour for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include general facility sanitizing and cleaning to include but not limited to: sweeping, dusting, mopping, organization, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning patient rooms, taking out the trash, breaking down boxes and recycling, and cleaning outdoor space/yard pickup.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Comfortable around animals, however animal handling will not be permitted

• Comfortable in a hospital environment where animals are sick and in need of 24 hour care (ok with sight of blood, etc.)

• Self -motivated and able to perform duties with little direction

• Highly-motivated team player with a positive attitude. Additionally, you must be able to work efficiently, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and prioritization and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

• Able to perform physical labor that will require lifting, bending and moving

• Present a professional appearance

• Prior experience in housekeeping is required.
