Housekeeping Attendant
Job Summary: A housekeeper will clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, restaurant, lounges and guest rooms. Typical responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, laundry, mopping and waxing floors and changing and laundering linen. Must be flexible with working early mornings, days, weekends and holidays.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Will work shifts as assigned
• Check public areas to be clean and orderly
• Clean and tidy rooms
• Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
• Restock room supplies
• Replace dirty linens with clean items
• Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
• Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
• Report maintenance issues and log lost and found property
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Notify superiors on any damages, maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Report damage of hotel property
• Handle guest requests with professionalism

Qualification:

• Positive, customer is always right attitude
• Strong, concise communication skills
• Professional in appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work varied hours including weekend and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Working quickly without compromising quality

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 to 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cleaning Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
