I. POSITION SUMMARY:

Housekeepers perform cleaning duties to maintain all facilities, including: patient rooms, offices, community rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, porches, patios, fitness center, laundry rooms, nurses stations, lecture halls, etc. The focus is on keeping our entire campus in a clean and orderly to provide a clean, neat, and safe place for our patients to get the care they need.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps, scrubs, and mops floors
• Vacuums carpets, rugs, and furniture
• Shampoos carpets, rugs, and upholstery
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
• Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
• Empties and cleans trash containers
• Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
• Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
• Wipes down glass surfaces
• Makes up beds and changes linens as required
• Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
• Responds to guest queries and requests
• Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
• Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others
• Folds sheets and towels
• Performs other duties as assigned

• No experience required

B. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Be an example of our core values daily and hold yourself accountable to company standards and policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with members of management, coworkers, and patients
• Ability to quickly move between tasks and assignments

C. Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk approximately 3-4 miles during eight-hour shift
• Able to bend, kneel, and stretch
• Able to be continually physically active for hours at a time
• Able to frequently ascend and descend stairs
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

D. Other Requirements:

• If recovering, 3 months of verifiable sobriety
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner
• Regular attendance
