Housekeeper| $13.50+/hour, Depending on Experience

Monday-Friday with one rotating weekend every 5th weekend! Hours are 8 am-4:30 pm or 11:30 am-8 pm with shifts rotating throughout the week.

A local medical facility in Ida Grove, IA is hiring a Housekeeper to join their team! The perfect candidate will be dependable, welcoming and caring and will professionally represent the business as a Housekeeper. Responsibilities:

• Assists, cleans and services patients rooms, bathrooms, offices, lounges, clinics, Medical Arts Building, ED, OR, and POT areas assigned by Environmental Services Director.
• Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, disinfecting furniture, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing floors, cleaning restrooms, windows, and vents.
• Removes bed linens, washes beds, remakes bed with clean linen.
• Collect and properly disposes of garbage and biohazardous waste.
• Essential functions are included in this section, but are not limited only to the tasks and responsibilities written down
• Supports the Compliance Program and follows the associated policies and procedures as they apply in their work environment
• Supports the Safety Program, implements and follows the associated policies and procedures as they apply in their work environment
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Employee can reach full productivity after on-the-job training
• Must know how to use house-cleaning devices such as: brooms, mops, floor waxes, scouring pads to keep areas clean and well-serviced. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions and to be alert to hazards.
• Ability to stand for entire shift.
