Summary/Objective

Provides administration of Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program

Essential Functions

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Plan, directs, and coordinates activities for all TBRA related activities.
• Facilitates the administration of client intake.
• Works within the community to build effective partnerships and work cooperatively with community partners.
• Surveys functions of member agencies to avoid duplication of efforts and recommend curtailment, extension, modification, or initiation of services.
• Remain abreast of all program requirements.
• Prepares reports, studies, and publications to promote public understanding of housing related laws/regulations.
• Create and maintain system of record keeping and maintain organized filing system of client case files and other necessary documentation that must be legible, chronological and stored in a secured location to ensure client confidentiality.
• Works in collaboration with the KHC, landlords, and other community agency case managers.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, the position is responsible for employee oversight & guidance of all assigned activity.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely requires travel in and out of service area.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position of eight hours per week. Typical hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Days worked will be based on program need.

Travel

Travel is primary local during the business day, although some out of area may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree with 3+ years’ experience in housing &/or case management

Preferred Education and Experience

BA in Social Work or a related field with experience in housing &/or case management.

Additional Requirements

Valid Kentucky driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory background checks. Pass a pre employment drug test and random drug testing as required. State required minimum vehicle liability insurance and uninsured motorist insurance. Any/all other testing or applicable checks required by local, state, or federal law.
