Hotel Assistant General Manager

Under the leadership of the General Manager, theAssistant General Manager is responsible for managing daily hotel operations and providing overall leadership in the hotel's continuous effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. They will supervise and direct all personnel of various departments including Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, Front Desk, Reservations, and Guest Services. The Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in managing the property operations and driving results in the areas of guest service, team member engagement, sales/marketing, property appearance and profit/financial control.

The Assistant General Manager will strive to ensure exceptional guest service and to reach or exceed targeted sales & marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Be a brand and culture champion by promoting a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and team members.
  • Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Motivate, lead and direct team members.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, responsibilities to supervise or assist in include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling staff; addressing complaints and resolving problem.
  • Understands and ensures the proper training of personnel on multiple fronts such as daily responsibilities, emergency procedures, accident prevention policies, and how to act upon them effectively AND in a timely manner.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings for hotel management and staff.
  • Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of property with Head of Maintenance to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, room cleanliness and overall property appearance.
  • Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting daily, weekly and monthly inspections, investigating complaints, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Develops and maintains all aspects of hotel's reservation and revenue management systems directed toward the maximization of profit.
  • Responsible for all aspects of operations, from improving the hotel's financial performance to ensuring optimal guest satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Hotel & Accommodations Guest Services Staff: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Fosse / Towneplace Suites: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Hilton / Onq: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Home 2 Hotel: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)
