Sounding the call to all hospitality students and anyone curious about working in hotels. Join the summer hospitality division at Interlochen Center for the Arts. We have a hotel, extended stay like units, rustic & luxury cottages and 5 star suites. Gain unequaled experience working in the unequaled beauty of the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Northern Michigan.
After successful completion of your full agreement, you will receive a $500 bonus! The dates of the agreement are 6/6/23-8/10/23 and the stipend for the entire duration of the contract is $1,816 (plus bonus). An additional position is also available to work an extended amount of time 6/6/23-8/31/23 with a $1,865 stipend (plus bonus). Housing and all meals are included with this position.
Hospitality staff will work as part a team, with one year-round staff member to supervise the work shift. Summer staff will rotate through various responsibilities within our on campus hotel. Hotel Management/Hospitality majors are encouraged to apply as this position will give exposure to ALL areas of hotel operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Guest check in and check out
Answering the phone and taking reservations, also online and in person
Cashier functions
Guest Services including guidance around campus
Lost and found
Guest Baggage Assistance
Housekeeping chores to be completed in teams
Golf cart assistance to guest cabins
Completion of maintenance and transportation work orders
Other duties as requested

Experience and Skills:
Hospitality and Hotel Management majors are encouraged to apply
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid drivers license
Have excellent customer service skills
Cashiering experience is preferred
Experience with computers is preferred
Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
A team player yet able to work independently
Able to work a flexible schedule
Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task on a frequent basis
Able to stand at front desk during an 8-hour shift and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Able to complete housekeeping tasks independently within our hotel rooms and cabins
