Homecare and Hospice Aide / Part-time / 1st shift
Job description
Three Rivers Health is seeking a Part-time, 1st shift Homecare/Hospice Aide for our Homecare/Hospice Department. This is your opportunity to work with an exceptional team.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides direct personal care, bathing, assistance with activities of daily living, exercise and ambulation, and household services for patients/clients in their homes under the supervision and written instruction prepared by the Registered Nurse or Therapist. Reports changes in the patient's condition and needs to the nurse, therapist, Coordinator, or Manager, as appropriate. Completes appropriate documentation of services. Attends mandatory in-service and training programs to attain 12 hours of training/in-service per year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 75 hours of training based on the Model Curriculum and Teaching Guide for the Instruction of the Homemaker-Home Health Aide, or a curriculum comparable to it. (Certified CNA)
- Must have successfully completed a performance competency test using required elements and must have passed a written competency test.
- Prefer experience in home health, hospice, or related fields.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance coverage.
