Job description

Daycare Assistant Job Responsibilities:

Observe and monitor children's play and other activities.

Record individual child's daily health check / incident reports

Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits

Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.

Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games.

Assist in preparing food for children and serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods.

Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.

Assist with lesson planning.

Help children with homework and school work.

Work in a home based daycare

Clean and disinfect materials after use.

Provide suggestions and ideas that will be beneficial to staff, our little scholars and overall growth of the company.

*MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE

*MUST BE WILLING TO BE FINGERPRINTED AND HAVE MEDICAL CLEARANCE BEFORE WORKING ON SITE. (WILL BE DISCUSSED DURING INTERVIEW PROCESS)

*MUST BE WILLING TO ATTEND WORKSHOPS AND EVENING CLASSES TO RECEIVE CERTIFICATION. (WILL BE EXPLAINED DURING INTERVIEW PROCESS)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Chosen candidate must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 prior to hire

• Brooklyn, NY 11233: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Providing Childcare services: 1 year (Required)
