General Statement of Duties:

The HIM Project Analyst is responsible for navigating between multiple health information systems to prepare and report physician deficiency and delinquency information to Health Information Management Department Leadership. The Analyst supports quality assurance reporting and communicates with physicians and internal departments to resolve HIM questions as it relates to completeness of the electronic medical record.

Essential Duties:

• Reviews medical records for delinquent accounts, including letter notification to providers. Responds to provider inquiries and escalations to HIM Leadership. Communicates with HIM Leadership on MEC for provider deficiencies and fines as needed.
  
• Assists HIM Leadership in completing all necessary HIM tracking and reporting, including; quality assurance, on-going professional practice evaluation, operations scorecard and MEC reporting.
  
• Supports other projects as identified and assigned including but not limited to; duplicate accounts, forms management, training manuals, technology advancements tests, and improving HIM Department efficiencies.
  
• Responsible for all internal HIM and Medical Records correspondence.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2-4 years of related experience required, 4-6 years of experience preferred
• Preferred 2 years minimum experience in Health Information Management related project management
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
