What you’ll be responsible for:
You will be part of JUF’s Help Desk, providing employees with onsite and remote support. You will communicate with users to understand their problem and lead them through established workflows to identify, isolate, and resolve it. Working as part of a team of technical support staff members, you will ensure standards, security, and policy compliance within the network infrastructure and enterprise.

What you’ll be doing:
- Help Desk: Interact with end-users (via phone, e-mail, etc.) to identify and resolve problems and concerns associated with computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Prioritize appropriately, follow up with end users, and utilize all technical resources to problem solve. Follow established workflows to escalate unresolved calls to appropriate staff.
- Communication: Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across the organization and affiliated agencies. Perform at or above evaluation standards established by the JUF Technology department.
- Audio/Visual (A/V): Provide audio and video user support for in person and remote events. This includes scheduling and placing equipment (speakerphones, webcams etc.), providing training for special features as needed, maintaining physical security of the equipment, documenting technical procedures, and keeping operating manuals current.
- Data Center: Monitor the data center’s computer systems and associated daily operations. Accurately process daily, weekly, and monthly enterprise system procedures on time, execute jobs for batch control, perform scheduled backups on all production platforms, handle data center printing, communicate and report with key staff on all production problems, maintain information databases, and record key metrics.
- Training: Assist in individual and group training on computer systems and applications.
- General: Provide work coverage for the department as needed and support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.
What you need to succeed:
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Mac, printers (Rioh, HP), handheld devices (IOS, Android).
- A working knowledge of Creston, Apple devices, Shure Digital Wireless Receiver, Ploycom Conference Bridge, Samsung, Listen, TOA, Infrared equipment, Extron products, Video distribution systems, Plasma, LCD, LED, Projection systems.
- A firm understanding of interconnecting and operation of audio/video system devices.
- The ability to work with staff at all levels and maintain confidential information.
- Able to work fluctuating hours when necessary.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field.
- 2 years of personal computer experience.
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange administration, Microsoft System Center (Data Protection Manager, Operations Manager).
