Position Description

· Serve 900 hours between start and 5/31/2023.

· Complete up to 180 hours of training (included in the 900-hour commitment)

· Participate in required service and training events

· Turn in timesheets twice a month

· Avoid Prohibited Activities

Support the healthcare pipeline/workforce development efforts of North Idaho AHEC and Idaho WWAMI by compiling educational resources relating to social determinants of health, health careers pathways, and STEM youth engagement; fostering professional connections (email, phone, in-person visits) with public health and other health care professionals and regional educators; developing print and digital materials, coordinating/facilitating presentations and interactive sessions for rural high school students (grades 9-12); and/or assisting with educational activities for current health professionals.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have completed some college-level coursework, preferably including courses in health promotion, behavioral science, and/or social determinants of health; demonstrate a foundational understanding of health career educational pathways, or a desire and ability to develop such knowledge; effective verbal and written communication skills.
