Healthcare IT Project Manager - Infrastructure
Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee various large infrastructure projects within a large healthcare system in Worcester, Massachusetts
As Infrastructure Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to guide enterprise infrastructure projects through the entire project lifecycle – from planning through execution. In this respect, you will be responsible for schedule management, status reporting, change orders and project communications. To be effective in this role, you must be able to work well as a member of the infrastructure team in a spirit of collaboration. Limited travel may be required.
Responsibilities Required:
- Planning, coordination, controlling, and communications of multiple concurrent projects
- Proactively identify dependencies and challenges and lead project teams and stakeholders to work to resolve them
- Facilitate workshops and manage relationships with internal and external technology and business stakeholders
- Draft and manage project documents and reports
- Track projects to scope, schedule and budget
- Communicate project progress, changes and challenges at all levels
- Assist the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure in creating and tracking project budgets
- Support the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure in aligning resources to the department’s overall resource demands
Skills Required:
- Project Management Knowledge: Project plan development; workshop facilitation; tracking projects to scope, schedule, budget; status reporting, project communications.
- Business Knowledge: Working knowledge of IT service management; ability to be resourceful and innovative and to align to the infrastructure department’s environment and evolving priorities in its service to its customers; analysis of resource allocations and capacity.
- Executes/Results-Driven: Sets and conveys clear goals and monitors progress; is accessible and supports other team members; facilitates project delivery and adds value to the organization by making timely and sound decisions and by seeking solutions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Fosters team commitment to common goals; identifies conflicts and finds ways to balance them; values contributions of all team members and other constituencies; values team accomplishments over individual accomplishments; leverages others' strengths and experiences to achieve team goals; co-operates with colleagues and shares resources. Uses team feedback to improve overall project delivery.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establishes and builds relationships with customers by providing prompt, personalized, and value-added service; uses customer feedback as a basis for improving project delivery.
- Attention to Detail : A concern for ensuring accuracy, clarity and quality of work reflecting an underlying drive to increase efficiency and track organizational measures.
Position Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in project management
- Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and to stakeholder satisfaction
- Ability to build project budgets, track and forecast spending
- Ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders to influence desired outcome
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Development and Operations
- Understanding of the suitability and applicability of agile and waterfall methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience in an IT department or technology delivery company
- Familiar with IT enterprise process standards and regulations (e.g. ITIL)
- Customer service experience in any industry, IT preferred

- Bachelor's (Preferred)
