POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide support to the Area Health & Safety (H&S) team to further the efficiency of the department through strong organization and planning.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates and analyzes weekly claim reports to support field operations.
Generates ad hoc reports for field and corporate staff as necessary.
Manages Safety and Environmental Compliance tracking systems (STRS/CTRS).
Provides field training on division level use of compliance tracking systems.
Regularly communicates with field management and resolves discrepancies or other concerns.
Manages customer safety databases and updates with Company specific information.
Maintains OSHA 300 and 300A log.
Updates and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
Assists with the coordination and tracking of employee training.
Assists in the scheduling of in-house training programs to maintain compliance.
Assists in tracking and analyzing DOT compliance.
Provides monthly reports to the Safety/Operations group to upload in presentation decks.
Track employee annual physicals for the area and coordination of appointments.
Liaison between employee, claims, safety and medical team oversight for injury claims.
Maintain Pacific Area medical surveillance program & injury management claims with strict confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic understanding of safety plans and programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
Strong PC skills and fluent in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint database software, etc.
Basic Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other applicable health and safety standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role with HSE responsibilities.
