TITLE OF POSITION: Health Equity Program Manager (HEPM)

The Health Equity Program Manager (HEPM) is a key member of the Equity Department, working closely with both internal content experts and external field leaders to develop new resources and innovative programming to teach the best practices of equitable care delivery during serious illness. The Health Equity Program Manager will manage the production of detailed guidance and practical tools for the replication of proven interventions that reduce health inequities in serious illness care.

Working collaboratively with the Education team, the HEPM will develop sessions that facilitate peer-to-peer learning and other educational content to support palliative care professionals as they implement health equity initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Director of Health Equity and Special Initiatives

Roles and Responsibilities

· Serve as project manager for the development of new health equity content for palliative care teams, including oversight of external Subject Matter Expert (SME) workgroups

· Monitor and evaluate existing equity content to ensure timeliness of tools available

· Partner with the Director of Health Equity and Special Initiatives to manage and build new systems, tools, and processes to track all equity opportunities, deadlines, and tasks

· Collaborate and maintain regular communication with cross-departmental colleagues to support ongoing special initiatives

Qualifications

· Project management experience - focus on health equity preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to synthesize information and write concise materials for multiple audiences

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines

· Ability to troubleshoot and oversee complex projects to completion

· Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including CAPC members, funders, and other staff

· Strong computer skills and experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Teams, Salesforce, project management systems, and ability to learn and master new systems

Work Requirements

- This position is open to applicants throughout the U.S. and will be performed remotely

- Must be comfortable with occasional travel

Compensation

Full-time, exempt position; starting salary range of $83,000 to $85,000 per year
