Job description
Under the supervision of the Senior Human Capital Generalist, the HC Associate will be responsible for
providing support to a wide range of HC functions. The HC Associate must have broad knowledge of
human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding/offboarding, compensation, benefits, employee
relations, learning & development, and HC policies & procedures development/implementation.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with employment life cycle management to include onboarding, benefits administration, performance, employee development and employee offboarding. Support onboarding new hires and create and maintain employee files. Assist with compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification via E-Verify. Data entry as required for new hire personal information, pay rates and benefits into HRIS system. Prepare HC correspondence.
Assist with responding to employee inquiries and requests relating to HC matters. Provide assistance during Open Enrollment period for employee group insurance benefits. Process required documents, ensuring accurate record keeping and proper payroll deductions. Perform background checks and any required drug screenings. Generate reports and corresponding documentation. Assist with generating HC metrics to continually improve efficiency of the HC department. Participate in the development and facilitation of training (including orientation) to the workforce. Supports in the coordination of employee anniversary, education assistance and recognition programs. Provides support in maintaining the company internal website (Employee Portal).
Other Duties
Coordinate other HC activities, special reports, projects, and other related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or comparable field of study, and one to three years of progressive Human Resources experience.
