Title: Hawk-Eye Operator

Status: Part-Time: ~20hrs/week

Seasonal Position: April - September (remote training prior to April)

Location: Remote

Hourly Wage: $16.50/hr


Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely part-time for a professional baseball team and receive high exposure to some of the most novel sports tracking technology currently available. You will be responsible for operating the ball and player tracking software for home games played across our organization. This role requires schedule flexibility with some games being played on weekends and holidays, and ability to adapt to irregular working hours depending on time of game and different time zones. You will be provided with adequate training, resources, and live in-game support while operating the system to ultimately ensure high quality data output.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Launching and calibrating Hawkeye operating system 1 hour prior to game time
  • Conducting and monitoring in-game operations on the system in accordance with standard operating procedures for entirety of game
  • Assessing and communicating system errors with live support staff from Hawkeye during game
  • Following post-game operational workflows which include software and hardware guidelines of the system
  • Outputting the event's data through a robust post-processing workflow
  • Logging system operations notes after each event to monitor system performance
  • Troubleshooting with Hawkeye support staff on any outputted data errors or system performance issues

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proactive communicator, problem solver, and self initiator
  • Ability to troubleshoot with remote support on technical issues at a very fast pace
  • Ability to learn new software quickly, and adapt to changes in operational workflows
  • Responsible and reliable remote worker who independently takes initiative of his/her work schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest in sports performance technology and/or sports analysis a plus
  • An interest in baseball a plus
  • Having a technical background in video operations a plus
