The job will require development and maintenance of printed circuit board schematics and layout for instruments such as SMUs, DMMs, Pico Ammeters, Nano Voltmeters, Switch Matrices, CV Meters, Pulse Meters, Keithley Systems, 4200s, and ARBs. The candidate will also be responsible for defining and optimizing overall system level block diagrams, communication pathways, and measurement performance. Responsibilities:
Work with Engineering Manager to perform assigned development tasks. Participate in setting project and product schedule goals and consistently meeting and exceeding those goals.
Design for maintainability, manufacturability, ease of use, and overall quality.
Independently implement tasks based upon stated goals and collaboratively within a large cross discipline team.
Ability to solve difficult problems of diverse scope in creative and practical ways.
Create design documentation that is modern, maintainable, and transferrable.
Qualifications:
A four-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering.
PCB-level analog/digital circuit design experience.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and handle increasing complex coding assignments.
PCB layout experience.
Experience interfacing to software drivers and interfaces.
Comfort collaborating with software engineers to design and implement hardware solutions.
Coding experience (particularly with C/C++, Lua, and/or Python), statistical data analysis experience, experience using Linux, power supply design, signal conditioning design, A/D design, DAC design, low-current characteristics and design, transmission lines, PCB part and component evaluation and selection, theory of operation documentation, technical specifications, error budget creation, knowledge of product development for test and measurement equipment for electronics.
